BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ROXANNE DAVID, FOUNDER  Roxanne graduated from the University of Texas, Austin McCombs School of Business with a BBS in Marketing.  After graduating, she moved to Washington D.C. and worked for Cable and Wireless Communication, Advantech Corp., and PPAS in sales and marketing positions.  Roxanne left her last corporate job, as Vice President of Marketing, to start her own Financial Services Agency in Maryland with her husband, Christian.  Together they have thrived in financial services for over 25 years.  Roxanne is also a Managing General Contractor and Partner of Team Texas Development with her brother.  Some of her experience in charitable organizations include the Junior League of Washington D.C., Olney Womens Club, committee member for "A Capitol Collection," and Chairperson of "A Fall Affair" benefitting Camp Friendship, a camp for kids with cancer (Joseph Patrick Sanford Memorial Foundation).  More recently, she has served the past five years on the committee for Adoptions Together's Taste of Potomac event.  Roxanne, her oldest daughter, and a group of friends founded Charities Angels in an effort to give back to the community, fulfill their purpose of serving others, nourish the relationships of friends, and to be good examples to their children.  Roxanne and Christian now reside in Rockville with four children, Adrianna, Julianna, Tatianna, and Christian II, whom are their greatest treasure.

ADRIANNA DAVID, CO-FOUNDER  Adrianna, Roxanne's oldest daughter, is a University of Maryland double-degree in Theatre and Communication Studies.  Since Charities Angels inception, Adrianna has provided creative insight and brainstorming alongside her mother, with a primary focus on saving her cousin, Juliana Casey, who has been fighting kidney disease her entire life.  In high school, at the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD, Adrianna was involved in campus ministry, community service, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and the performing arts including dance, theatre, and improv.  After being a competitive cheerleader for 13+ years, ending her career as a 2011 World Champion with the Maryland Twisters F5, Adrianna was unable to cheer in college due to an elbow injury.  While enrolled at the University of Alabama for her first two years of college, Adrianna was an active member of the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, gaining experience in philanthropy work supporting domestic violence awareness.  Since leaving Alabama, Adrianna is in full pursuit of the entertainment industry as an actor, model and also travels nationwide as a cheerleading choreographer.  For Charities Angels, she has taken on the role of new member recruitment, to target millennials and expand our events and committees to young professionals.  Further, Adrianna and her father, Christian David, are spokespersons for one of our partners, The Kidney Project, and work directly with them in hopes of finally providing a cure for Juliana.

THERESA KLINE, PRESIDENT  Theresa has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing communications.  As Principal of a communications agency, she has worked with many clients from high-tech companies, real estate developers, banks, associations and non-profit organizations.  She handled all of their marketing needs including branding, advertising, PR, web development, trade shows marketing, and event planning.  Theresa was a partner at prestigious communications agencies such as Design Alliance, Imago and Bloom Strategies.  She is currently working on the marketing for her husband’s real estate development projects at Watkins Mill Town Center and Jefferson Place and is also on the committee for Adoptions Together's Taste of Potomac event.

BRIGID FAHMY, VICE PRESIDENT  Brigid is a licensed Realtor with Gribbin Realty, helping buyers and sellers throughout the state of Maryland.  She has been married to Tim for 25 years and is the proud mother of two sons, Tamir and Zack. When Brigid is not working or taking care of her family, she enjoys being involved in various charities as well as community associations and school activities.  Currently, Brigid serves as a Board Member for her community association, Dive Team Rep for her local pool, and is on the committees for Heartsongs Fund (benefitting Children’s National Medical Center) and Adoptions Together’s Taste of Potomac event.

MARY STRITTMATTER, SECRETARY  Mary has been happily married for 26 years and is a mom of two boys, Vince and Chad.  A University of Maryland, College Park graduate, Mary then worked in marketing for Suburban Bank and was a flight attendant for US Airways.  More recently, Mary finished her associates degree in Interior Design and started her own business, Strittmatter Interiors, working in both residential and commercial design.  Having been a professional NFL cheerleader and marathon runner, Mary brings energy and enthusiasm to the board of Charities Angels.  She is currently training for a half marathon and helping to raise funds for Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

KIM LEFELAR, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS  Kim’s 25-year professional career encompassed events management, speech writing, VIP management, public, press & international relations.  She worked with former secretary of state, Alexander Haig, former White House press secretary to Nancy Regan, Joe Canzeri, and The World Cup Organizing Committee as director of international protocol.  She is now a content mom of three and a devout community worker.

VANESSA PROVENCHER, DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA  Vanessa graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Communications.  She went on to become a highly skilled Marketing and Sales professional with special expertise in event planning and social media, primarily for technology companies.  Vanessa has almost 20 years of marketing, event planning, sales, analysis, public relations and social media experience in a variety of sectors, including commercial and government, as well as domestic and international.  She is energetic, creative, and results-oriented, with a proven record of developing and implementing successful marketing events and social media campaigns.  Vanessa is proud of her family, husband Dennis and two sons, Chase and Alex.  Between part time work, tennis, and raising her family, she is more than pleased to devote some time to Charities Angels and the wonderful causes to which they contribute.

ADEJA GREIG, DIRECTOR OF BRAND DEVELOPMENT  Adeja is a 2015 graduate of Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, with a BA in Interactive Digital Design and a minor in Sociology.  Originially from the US Virgin Islands, Adeja has grown up in the Potomac, MD, attending Winston Churchill High School.  A two-time World Champion competitive cheerleader with The Maryland Twisters, Adeja brings performance, innovation, and creativity to the Charities Angels brand.  She is currently working as lead graphic designer for Panorama Productions in Washington DC alongside being a freelance artist.

MELINDA GRIFFITH, CORPORATE LIAISON  Melinda is a Senior Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for Interstate Hotels and Resorts.  Her responsibilities include identifying and completing hotel acquisitions and management contracts essential to the company’s growth.  Melinda is also charged with fostering Interstate’s relationships with hotel owners, finance and institution fund managers, hotel brands and real estate brokers and contributes to the marketing strategies of the company's Development team.
