MAKING A DIFFERENCE ONE EVENT AT A TIME
Charities Angels announce two “Angel’s In Action” projects benefiting children and teens in our local communities.
How many dreams shaping a child’s future are born in the security and solace of a bedroom? Dreams need room to take root, to grow and to mature. My Dream Room is a project inspired by Debbie Waxman, a seasoned interior designer specializing in teen room makeovers, bringing one-of-a-kind, personalized space to children moving from foster care into a permanent home. Debbie believes that providing a customized living space to transitioning teens is a critical step in contributing to a secure, confident and valued child. My Dream Room will interact with prospective candidates to ensure that their “dream room” can become their “real room.” My Dream Room works in partnership with Charities Angels who are “putting their wings to work” for local charitable organizations. My Dream Room’s inaugural renovation project is in cooperation with Adoptions Together.

Candles, cake, balloons, crepe paper streamers, ribbon & friends – these fill the cornucopia of birthday celebrations. Unfortunately, not every child, even within our own local communities, is able to experience a birthday party. Charities Angels is launching another “Angels in Action” project designed to deliver a birthday bash to children who would otherwise go without. In partnership with various family and transitional housing shelters in and around our county, Wings & Wishes will seek to identify birthday party opportunities within these communities and work to bring an individually themed party to these children. Charities Angels embrace the concept to “party with a purpose” and hope to extend this principle to those who may miss the chance to be celebrated on their birthdays. We endeavor to keep “putting our wings to work” in serving those in our community. Wings & Wishes hopes to expand its assistance beyond birthday parties to give flight to a myriad of needs existing in our communities.
